Meet The Founders
Meet our founders Farah (Rose) Rosaleen (left) & Sarah Pazokian (right)! Farah and Sarah are both seniors at Green Hope High School in Cary, NC and have been friends since 5th grade. The two started Period Project NC in their sophomore year after having negative experiences with their periods at school. Together they have implemented Period Project NC into 4 schools and have over 120 ambassadors from across NC!
While they started Period Project NC in their sophomore year, Farah and Sarah were aware and passionate about issues regarding menstrual inequity and health long before then. Their main goal is to reach as many students as possible through PPNC to ensure that no girl is left behind while emphasizing that periods and education are not mutually exclusive.
In the future, Sarah plans to work in endocrinology to help those with hormonal conditions, and Farah plans to become an OB/GYN to provide women of color with quality healthcare and volunteer overseas. Alongside their careers, they will continue working on Period Project NC to create menstrual equity in NC, one school at a time!
